Born in Aruba and raised between there and Holland, Shayne was exposed to the beauty of the ocean and mountains from an early age. That love of nature has only grown from there.

With his first visit in 1992 he fell in love with everything Aspen has to offer. He knew then he would work hard to make this his home some day.

His entrepreneurial spirit guided him through several successful ventures, starting in 1992 as an independent distributor in the Cardiac Device business in Palm Beach, Florida and culminating as a multi-unit franchise owner for Orangetheory Fitness with studios in New York.

In 2006 Shayne obtained his Colorado Real Estate license and started investing, developing, renovating and renting his own portfolio of properties in Colorado as well as South Florida and The Hamptons. He now brings that wealth of experience with him to a world class Real Estate environment with Christie’s in Aspen.

Shayne has a strong background in negotiation and sales having dealt with multiple Private Equity funds, hospital systems and high-end home buyers and sellers.

The same work ethic and determination that lead him to thrive as an entrepreneur helped him compete as an Ironman triathlete, finishing multiple endurance events including The Hawaii Ironman as well as earning a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which he still practices and teaches regularly.

Shayne did realize his dream and bought his first home here in 2010. He now lives here full time with his wife Nadia, their daughter Beatrice and their rescued terrier mix, Henry. Together they enjoy every aspect of the Four-Season Aspen lifestyle from skiing and snowboarding to mountain biking, hiking, golfing and Paddling local waters.
